The Victory of Our Students in the Qualifying Round of the First World Championship on the Russian Language
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Autonomous Institution «Sociocenter» are holding the first World Championship in Russian among foreign citizens. In particular, on October 6, 2024, a team of students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan showed an excellent result in the qualifying round and confidently made it to the next round of the competition. The team of our institute consists of six people: the coach – the lecturer of the Russian language of our institute Maya Charyeva, as well as students of the Faculty of International Journalism Jennet Myradova, Orazjemal Charyyarova, Annaberdi Kashanov, Seyran Sopyev, and the student of the Faculty of International Relations Aygul Meredova.
For a complete picture of the championship regulations, it should be noted that teams of foreigners from 16 to 22 years old, consisting of 5 people and a coach – a teacher of Russian, were invited to participate. The championship consists of several stages: registration, selection, remote and in-person team competitions. Participants will have quizzes, debates, blitzes, online testing, as well as competitions with artificial intelligence. A free advanced training program was held for coaches to prepare the team for participation in the championship.
The final tests and summing up of the results will be held in St. Petersburg in December 2024. The winners of the competition will take part in the award ceremony, as well as a cultural program and souvenir prizes. The winners will receive the Championship Cup and the title of World Champions in the Russian Language.
