Magtymguly Fragi's Doctrine of Peace and Diplomacy of Neutral Turkmenistan
On October 11, 2024, an International forum «Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development» was successfully held in Ashgabat with the participation of Heads of State and government and delegations from different countries, heads of international organizations, members of foreign governments, famous scientists, cultural figures and diplomats. The forum is held as part of a large program of celebrations of the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, which includes many festive events organized both in our country and abroad. The second section of the high-level international forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi was called "Magtymguly Fragi's Doctrine of Peace and the Diplomacy of Neutral Turkmenistan" and was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
The main goals of the international conference are to popularize the classical heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, to study the relationship between the languages and literatures of the peoples of the East, its role in the development of national statehood, and the contribution of the poet-humanist to the treasury of universal spiritual values.
As it is known, in the poems of the great poet Magtymguly Fragi, the unchanging values of all mankind are deeply expressed - love of the country, humanitarianism, peace, creativity, brotherhood. These principles form the essence of Turkmenistan's neutrality and form the core of the country's diplomacy.
In the corresponding section, the speeches of the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, the Organization of Turkic States, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Economic Cooperation Organization, Secretary General of TURKSOY, as well as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization were emphasized the general heritage of our great poet.
Thus, in the year of the international celebration of he 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, the holding of the international forum «Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development» proves that the works of the great poet have a unifying power which connects the peoples of the world in the spirit of poetry.
