World Science Day for Peace and Development
As it is known, falling on November 10 each year, World Science Day for Peace and Development aims to throgh a bridge between science and society by encouraging a dialogue between the scientific community and the general public.
The importance of science in ensuring peace and development of the country is very important. A society with perfect science always lives peacefully and savely. This society is always moving towards higher stages of development. Where there is science, good, strong, friendly relations reign. Because science is a main tool for the development of international relations. Where the science is stable, the society will be stable.
Today we can say that science in modern society plays an important role in many industries and all spheres of people's live. The level of development of science is one of the main indicators of the development of society, and it is also an indicator of the modern development of the state. Everything around a person is the achievements of science.
Undoubtedly, science is one of the most important forms of the culture of society, and its development is the most important factor in the renewal of all spheres of human life. Modern science forms a person's worldview, is closely connected with technological progress, helps to create forecasts for the development of society and develop programs, to solve problems facing humanity.
World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated on November 10, every year to highlight the significant role of science in society and the urgent need to engage the public in debates on scientific issues.
World Science Day was proclaimed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2001. But it was celebrated for the first time in 2002.
The UN states that the goal of World Science Day for Peace and Development is to ensure that citizens are kept well informed about the developments in science, and the role scientists play in broadening our understanding of our planet is highlighted and promoted to make our societies more sustainable.
The four main purposes of the day, as stated by the UN, are as follows:
Strengthen public awareness of the role of science for peaceful and sustainable societies;
Promote national and international solidarity for shared science between countries;
Renew national and international commitment for the use of science for the benefit of societies;
Draw attention to the challenges faced by science in raising support for the scientific endeavor.
As our Hero Arkadag underlined that the development of human society is interrelated with science and education. As in the developed countries of the world, in an independent, permanently neutral country, science and education are the main means of increasing the power and possibilities of the state, the driving force of our society. The priority systemic goals of the Turkmen leader's successful scientific and technical policy are to train high-level specialists with a broad outlook for all sectors of the economy.
