Event dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the ICRC
On May 8, 2023, an event dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the founding
of the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent was held at
the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Turkmenistan. The event was attended by employees of the regional center of
the ICRC in Turkmenistan, volunteers, as well as teachers and students of the
Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
Turkmenistan.
During the event, the presentation was made by the Chairman of the
International Cooperation Committee of the Red Crescent Society of
Turkmenistan V. Zatsepin and the coordinator of the project, Development of
Volunteering in Turkmenistan, of the Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan A.
Gapbarov.
The rich program of the celebration included speeches on the history and
activities of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Videos
and performances reflecting the activities and work of the ICRC were also
shown. At the end of the event, an entertaining discussion took place between
specialists and students on various topics.
