GS1 TURKMENISTAN DISTRIBUTES BARCODES TO LOCAL MANUFACTURERS
On November 24, 2022, a seminar entitled “GS1 Turkmenistan distributes barcodes to local manufacturers” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The teaching staff of the Institute and members of the Scientific Club “Young Economists” took part in this seminar, organized by the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Barcode and the Institute’s Faculty of International Economic Relations. Atajan Saparmyradov, the main expert of the National Organization for Linear Symbols of Turkmenistan, spoke and said that the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Barcode was established on February 28, 2014. He informed the participants that Turkmenistan became a full-fledged member of the International GS1 Organization and acquired the right to the “GS1 Turkmenistan” brand. To date, more than 3,200 people have joined the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Barcode, 600 of which are government agencies and the remaining 1,700 are private sectors.
In the seminar, it was emphasized that the entrepreneurship system in the country has reached high levels as a result of the successful implementation of the policy of the President of Turkmenistan in the field of development of the private sector during the period of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. It was also noted that joint meetings, scientific-practical consultations and other events are of great importance in exchanging experience and establishing direct business relations.
The participants of the training seminar expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for his unlimited support in attracting young people to entrepreneurship.
