NATIONAL HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR YOUNG ATHLETES UNDERWAY IN TURKMENISTAN
From 9 to 13 June 2026, the Championship of Turkmenistan in Handball is being held at the Sports Complex of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The competition brings together boys and girls born in 2010 and younger from across the country.
The event is organized in accordance with the Unified Calendar Plan of National and International Sports Events for 2026. The participation of young athletes from various regions of Turkmenistan contributes to the development of their sporting skills, promotes healthy lifestyles, and encourages greater interest in sports among the younger generation.
The National Handball Championship serves as an important platform for identifying talented young athletes, enhancing their competitive experience, and strengthening their preparation for future international competitions. The event also reflects the successful continuation of efforts aimed at developing sports nationwide, expanding physical culture and wellness activities, and fostering friendship and mutual understanding among young people.
To ensure the successful organization of the championship, all necessary conditions and facilities have been provided at the Sports Complex of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This is another demonstration of the country’s commitment to raising a healthy, spirited, and patriotic younger generation.
Sporting events of this nature, aimed at enhancing the prestige of Turkmenistan in the international sports arena, not only increase young people’s enthusiasm for sports but also create broad opportunities for them to develop into physically strong, determined, and success-oriented individuals.
