Central Asian Regional Olympiad in the French Language
On May 28-29, 2022, with the support of the Embassies of the French Republic in Central Asian countries, the second French language online Olympiad was held with the participation of the five Central Asian Republics (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan).
The competition was held among schoolchildren, students of the French language program and students of the second foreign language, French language teachers, translators and French language learners.
The competition was held in 3 rounds. The first round consists of test questions, which are developed in collaboration with the Orthodidacte platform. The task of the second round of the competition is to write a dictation online. The third round of the competition is an online interview (conversation).
In addition to the teachers and students of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, a French language instructor of the Departement of World Languages of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ogulbeg Gazakova, and students from the same institute, a 4th year student of the International Relations Faculty Lachin Hojayeva, a 2nd year student of the same Faculty Selbi Ilyasova, a 3rd year student of the International Law Faculty Zulfiya Yanabayeva, a 3rd year student of the International Economic Relations Faculty Arslankerim Kerimov took part in the competition.
The participants express their gratitude to the esteemed President of Turkmenistan for the opportunities created to widen their knowledge and develop skills through such international competitions.
