TRAINING WORKSHOP ON FACT-CHECKING TOOLS AND MULTIMEDIA CONTENT CREATION WAS HELD
On 22–23 July 2026, the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat organized a training workshop entitled “Fact-Checking Tools and Multimedia Content Creation.” The event brought together representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Adalat (Justice), the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the International Information Centre, Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the mass media.
The workshop featured online presentations by international trainers and experts Vitaliy Rugayn (Belarus) and Rustam Gulov (Tajikistan). They provided participants with an introduction to “NotebookLM”, demonstrated techniques for working with large-scale documents, and presented tools for creating infographics and presentations. The sessions also covered the use of artificial intelligence for verifying information, offered an overview of multimedia content creation tools such as “Gemini,” “Meta AI,” “Higgsfield,” and “Suno,” and introduced participants to “Vibecoding” and its associated tools, including “Claude Code” and “Google AI Studio.”
Throughout the two-day training, participants strengthened their practical skills in working with information. The programme focused on modern fact-checking techniques for verifying information and news circulating on the internet and digital media, as well as methods for countering misinformation. Participants also explored ways to enhance news reporting by complementing text with visual and multimedia formats, including infographics, videos, and audio content, to improve public communication.
The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, providing participants with an opportunity to discuss the topics covered and exchange professional experiences
