The Virtual Roundtable on “Dialogue as the Foundation of Sustainable Peace”
On February 12, 2025, the virtual roundtable was held between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
The heads of the higher educational institutions of two countries – rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Gulshat Yusupova, Director of the State of Qatar Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khorr, as well as advisor to the Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Majid bin Mohammed Al-Ansari and lecturer of the International Economic Relations Department of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and coordinator of the SDGs Centre attended the meeting.
During the virtual roundtable were emphasized new areas of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and Qatar. It is also noted that a special role in the Turkmen-Qatari relations is played by cooperation in the field of science and education. The parties committed to the principles of cooperation and effectively interact for strengthening ties and wide application of existing opportunities.
At the end of the event, the parties expressed hope that the current meeting would be another step in strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries and give impetus to further strengthening the Turkmen-Qatari scientific and educational ties.
