Online test of English and Russian held to check the knowledge of students
On July 2, 2022, in order to implement the tasks arising from the “Concept for the development of the digital education system in Turkmenistan”, “Concept for the improvement of the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan”, approved by the Decrees of the President, the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan conducted an online test with the view of checking the knowledge of students in English and Russian languages.
The purpose of the test is to check language proficiency of students and to reveal their language skills. The test was conducted through the digital education portal. Students were asked 50 questions and 50 minutes were given to solve them.
The learning a foreign language contains two essential components. They are the formation of a foreign language communicative competence and the level of its diagnosis of formation (control knowledge, skills and abilities of students). Formation of communicative competence is foreign language lessons throughout the learning process, while the control is carried out in a specially allotted time. The test form of control today remains the most important.
