Young tennis players at the championship
On May 2, 2023, at the Ashgabat Olympic Village started Open Tennis Championship of Ashgabat for boys and girls aged 12 and under began. The championship, which was prepared by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan started with the ceremonial performances of artists which was even more exciting. The opening ceremony of the championship was attended by tennis fans, students of higher educational institutions of the country, as well as teachers of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The competition will be held until 5th of May, 100 junior athletes from the capital and the regions of the country will compete in easy doubles and singles. The competition will be an important stage of preparation for the Central Asian U12 Tennis Competition, which will be held in the Ashgabat Olympic Village on the first ten days of June this year.
