A WEBINAR ON THE TOPIC: “PROTECTING CHILDREN’S RIGHTS, ENSURING PEACE AND SECURITY” WAS HELD
On November 25, 2025, a webinar on the topic: “Protecting Children’s Rights, Ensuring Peace and Security” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This webinar was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, and the International Year of Peace and Trust. Merjen Gurbannazarova, Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Law and Comparative Law Studies at the Institute, delivered a detailed presentation faculty members as well as students from higher and secondary vocational educational institutions across the country.
During the webinar, the lecturer provided a detailed discussion of the national and international legal framework for protecting children’s rights in Turkmenistan. The speaker highlighted the establishment and significance of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, including its role in international relations. Furthermore, the discussion covered the policy aimed at raising a healthy, patriotic and highly moral young generation, which is being successfully implemented under the leadership of our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
This event provided students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge by exploring the importance of protecting children’s rights in our country and fostering international cooperation in this area.
