A TRAINING COURSE WAS HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF UN REPRESENTATIVES
On May 20, 2025, a training course was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan within the framework of the visit to Turkmenistan of a delegation led by Mr. Felipe Paullier, Assistant Secretary-General of the UN for Youth Affairs. It was attended by professors and teachers of our institute, young students, young ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals, and trainees of the Academy of Preventive Diplomacy.
The head of the delegation, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, Mr. Felipe Paullier, and UN Youth Information Analyst, Mr. Thomas Malik, delivered speeches at the training session. UN experts spoke about the role of the young generation in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in achieving the 2030 Agenda. They also highlighted Turkmenistan's positive and consistent views on priority issues of sustainable development, as well as the importance of the decision to locate the headquarters of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in the country's capital, Ashgabat. During the training session, young students received answers to their questions from the experts.
After the lesson, the distinguished guests visited to the Museum of the History of Turkmen Diplomacy, located at the institute. There, they got acquainted with the magnificent works that glorify Turkmenistan's foreign policy and history.
