Meeting with Regional Director of the United Nations Development Coordination Office (UNDCO) for Europe and Central Asia Ms.Gwi- Yeop Son
On 28 November 2024, a meeting was held at the Institute of International
Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the
participation of the Rector of the Institute, Head of the United Nations
Development Coordination Centre for Europe and Central Asia, Ms. Gwi Yop
Son, and the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, Mr.
Dmitry Shlapachenko.
During the meeting, Mrs Gwi Yop Son and Mr Dmitry Shlapachenko spoke
about the possibilities of Turkmenistan's bilateral cooperation with the UN and
its activities in the UN as well as its contribution to world development. The
guests once again emphasized that further cooperation between the UN
development system and Turkmenistan plays a crucial role in diplomacy and
influences culture, political values and foreign policy. This meeting became more
effective for the students.
