AN EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR DEDICATED TO “SMART” TECHNOLOGIES WAS HELD
On October 8, 2026, an educational and methodological seminar was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was organized to implement the tasks arising from the lecture conducted by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, on September 2, 2026, at the Ruhyyet Palace in Arkadag city.
Within the framework of the seminar, Begench Karayev, Senior Lecturer and Doctor of Philosophy at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute, delivered an insightful presentation on “The Significant Role of ‘Smart’ Technologies in Ensuring Sustainable Development”. The meeting brought together the faculty members from higher educational institutions.
In his speech, B.Karayev noted that digital systems, “smart” and “green” technologies are being introduced into the sectors of the national economy of our country, and the capabilities of artificial intelligence are being utilized. Furthermore, special attention was paid to issues such as the impact of “smart” technologies on people's daily lives, sustainable architecture and urban projects, the integration of renewable energy sources and cybersecurity.
During the seminar, a detailed discussion took place on the tasks outlined during the general lesson of the National Leader regarding the creation of “smart” cities and the development of the draft concept for a “Smart Society”.
The seminar concluded with a dynamic and insightful dialogue, during which participants received comprehensive answers to their questions.
