PRESENTATION CEREMONY OF THE NEW BOOK "AK ŞÄHERIM AŞGABAT"
On May 11, 2021, the presentation of the new book of our President "Ak şäherim Aşgabat (White City Ashgabat)" was held in the large assembly hall of the Institute of the International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The rectors , professors and teachers of higher education institutions of our country, the heads of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations in Turkmenistan, the representatives of Mass-media as well asthe Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan abroad participated through digital video communication.
The ceremony was opened by J.Gurbangeldiyev, the Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and heemphasized that the new edition of the book of our President “Whity City Ashgabat” which gives a valuable information about the history and present day of the capital was a great gift for the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat.
During the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Xi'an Naichen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Yerkebulan Sapiyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan Togan Oral, as well as the Rector of the International University of Humanities and Development Esen Aydogdyev, the Rector of the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages Maral Mammetberdiyeva, the Vice-Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan B.Matliyev made speeches. In their speeches, they underlined that this wonderful book is a great alma mater for our youngergenerations in the comprehensive study of Ashgabat, the pearl of Asia.
According to the speakers, the book, which consists of chapters such as “Aşgabatda ak arzuwlar amala aşýar”, “Göwni açygyň ýoly açyk”, “Aşgabat – dünýä binagärliginiň merjeni”, “Toýlar toýa ulaşýar”, provides a valuable information about the history of our capital and the wonderful image of white marble today. At the end of the presentation ceremony, the speakers accepted an Appeal to the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the participants of the ceremony.
