The 7th of November – the first sounding day of Turkmen radio
On November 7, 2023, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a creative meeting was held with leading journalists on the occasion of the 7th of November – the day of the first launch of Turkmen radio, organized by the “Young Journalists” scientific-creative organization of the Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism. Yazjemal Yaylymova, the editor and producer of “Miras” radio station, Jeren Atayeva, the editor and producer of “Char tarapdan” radio station, and the students of the Faculty of International Journalism took part in the creative meeting. The creative meeting was conducted by Bagul Kakalyyeva, a third-year student of Faculty of International Journalism, host of the “Ovaz” radio program.
The leading journalists who spoke during the meeting talked about the history of the Turkmen radio, the society of “Radio Lovers” in Turkmenistan in 1926, the importance of its creation, the current development of the Turkmen radio, which was broadcast for the first time on November 7, 1927 in the former Karl Marx square in Ashgabat, the characteristics of radio journalists, the popularity of the radio, announcers, leading presenters, especially Arap Gurbanov, Sahet Kulyyev, Aman and Oraz Pussiyanov, Oraz Salyr and who worked in the radio editorial office Muhy bagshy, Sary bagshy, Mylly Tachmyradov, Amangeldi Myssyyev, Bayram Geldimyradov and they shared information about their works with the students. Also they talked about the work of Turkmen national radio stations, which are famous for attracting their listeners with high-quality, morally pure, spiritual, meaningful and artistically perfect talks with effective and listening works.
During the session, the students asked the mentors questions they were interested in. Also, they received valuable advice from senior journalists in order to overcome the difficulties in preparing and conducting radio show “Voice of the Journalist”, which is prepared by students of the Faculty of International Journalism and operated within the Institute.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and Hero Arkadag Serdar, who gives special importance to the mass media and the development of national Journalism.
