High-level roundtable discussion
On June 7, 2022, a roundtable discussion was held between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy of the Republic of Azerbaijan via video communication. The lecturers of the higher education institutions took part in the round table discussion, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main issue of this roundtable discussion was touched upon the development of cooperation between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The round-table was chaired by Gulshat Yusupova, Vice-Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan and Shiri Shiriyev, director of the Center for Strategic Studies. In their speeches, they noted about the high-level friendly relations between the two countries and exchanged views on further expanding the scope of cooperation in the field of education in the future.
In addition, in the speeches, the representatives made a number of proposals for further development of cooperation between our Institute and Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Hosting of such kind of regular meetings are importance and it proves that multilateral diplomacy is one of the main principles of our country’s policy.
