A historical excursion to the ancient fortress of Nisa
On March 13, 2023, an interesting trip was held with the professor teachers of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the members of “the School of Young Diplomats” to the State Historical and Cultural Park “Parthian Fortresses of Nisa”, which was included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO in 2007. This interesting excursion was held by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. To visit historical places is to come face to face with history, that is why the members of the School of Young Diplomats got acquainted with the fortresses of Old and New Nisa, which preserved the material culture and art of the Parthian State as one of the great states of the ancient world.
During the excursion, the representatives of the reserve told the members of “ the School of Young Diplomats” about the history of the fortress, its archeological layers, how the ambassadors were received in the ancient fortress and many other informations. The aim of the trip was to get acquainted with this heritage and to increase our knowledge about the history of ancient Parthian State.
At the end of the excursion, the participants asked questions which they were interested in.
