AN ONLINE METHODOLOGICAL AND TRAINING SEMINAR WAS HELD AT IIR MFA
On October 9, 2026, the faculty members of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan participated in an online methodological and training seminar. The event was organized to implement key measures under the approved 2026 Roadmap for coordinating the publication of scientific articles in prestigious international, database-indexed journals. The seminar brought together professors, lecturers, research department specialists, and department heads from higher education institutions across the country. Discussions centered on increasing Turkmenistan’s academic presence on international platforms and upholding strict ethical standards in scientific publishing.
The speech on the topic: “The International Digital Identity of a Researcher: Creating and Efficiently Using Professional Profiles on Scientific Platforms (ORCID, Scopus, and Google Scholar)” highlighted the role of digital profiles in amplifying researchers’ work within the global scientific community.
The speech on the topic “Scientific Ethics and Research Integrity: International Standards for Protection against Plagiarism and Predatory Publications” was dedicated on academic integrity, proper citation practices, plagiarism prevention, and strategies for identifying reputable scientific journals.
Overall, the seminar enhanced participants’ expertise in preparing research articles that meet international standards, navigating global scientific platforms, and adhering to rigorous publication ethics.
