A TRAINING SESSION WAS HELD
On March 31, 2026, session titled: “The Trade and Economic Significance of the 'Central Asia + European Union' Summit” was organized by the Training Center for Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The session was conducted by Mahrijemal Mamedova, a lecturer at the Department of International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the session, the multilateral cooperation between Central Asian states and the European Union, which has entered a new strategic phase, was explained in detail. Special attention was paid to the economic significance of the important initiatives put forward by our esteemed President during the “First EU - Central Asia Summit”, held in April 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
During the lecture, the instructor noted that Turkmenistan is currently establishing political and diplomatic relations with various countries while maintaining peace and stability in the region. Furthermore, matters regarding the creation of new transport and communication corridors along the Trans-Caspian route and the full integration of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport’s capacity into international logistics were discussed.
The session also covered the attraction of advanced European technologies and investments into the country's industrial sector, the development of special support programs for manufacturers, and the importance of expanding educational projects in the humanitarian sphere.
At the conclusion of the training session, students expanded their knowledge of modern trends in international trade relations, as well as in the fields of transport and energy diplomacy of Turkmenistan.
