AN APPRECIATION CEREMONY WAS HELD
On May 09, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a solemn appreciation ceremony dedicated to new initiatives of historical significance. In accordance with the Decree signed by the Honorable President, this ceremony was dedicated to the further improvement of the Institute’s activities, the approval of a new organizational structure, the opening of the Department of Peace and Neutrality, and the broad opportunities created for the training of Masters in relevant fields starting from the 2026-2027 academic year.
As is well known, the Decree of our Honorable President on improving the material, technical, scientific, and methodological foundations of the country’s diplomatic service has inspired a sense of profound pride in the hearts of the faculty members and students. In accordance with this historical document, the modernization of the Institute’s structure - and specifically the establishment of the new department – opens a new chapter in our nation’s science and education system.
As noted during the meeting, all necessary conditions have been created at the Institute of International Relations for students to receive an education that meets world standards. The systematic strengthening of the Institute’s material and technical base, the active implementation of the digital education system, and the equipping of academic buildings with the most modern technologies are aimed at ensuring the high professional level of future diplomats. The opportunities provided here for youth to improve not only their theoretical knowledge but also their practical skills are a clear fruit of our state’s science and education policy.
The newly established Department of Peace and Neutrality will become one of the primary centers for the in-depth study and promotion of the scientific and theoretical foundations of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutral legal status and its peace-loving foreign policy course. Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, the commencement of Master’s degree training in the field of “Peace and Neutrality” will cultivate a new generation of broad-minded specialists capable of protecting our state’s interests at a high level on the international stage.
The participants of the appreciation ceremony expressed their infinite gratitude to our Arkadagly Hero Serdar with for the broad opportunities provided to enhance our state’s international reputation, celebrate the culture of peace, and develop the education system.
This new structure, while increasing the scientific potential of our national diplomacy, will make a significant contribution to the formation of future diplomats’ world-class perspectives.
