SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR ENTITLED “ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND PREVENTION OF CLIMATE CHANGE” WAS HELD
On June 5, 2024, on the occasion of the World Environment Day, a scientific seminar was held on the occasion of the World Environment and Air Day, entitled “Environmental protection and prevention of climate change”. Active members of the scientific seminar "Prudent and wise" and "Young Lawyers" took part in the scientific seminar. In their speeches, they spoke about the history of World Environment Day, as well as the activities of the world and in our country.
At the scientific seminar D.Hekimova, a lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences, she met with members of scientific organizations: “Protection of ecology, natural uniqueness and resources of our green planet is one of the most important tasks of mankind. Today, our earth is in our hands. “It is the eternal duty of the human being to protect our vast land from damage and damage to humanity, to look at all its resources, even its air, earth, nature and living beings,” she said.
The scientific seminar included discussions on the effective cooperation of our Motherland with many international and regional organizations, such as United Nations Development and Environment Programs, Food and Agriculture Organization, Global Environment Fund, International Rescue Fund of Aral, Central Asian Regional Environmental Center and German International Cooperation Society.
Turkmenistan has officially announced that the parties participating in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change at the meeting held in Dubai (COP28), UAE (COP28) will join the global methane commitment. With the addition of this commitment, effective activities at the international and national levels were discussed.
Students listened to the lecturer’s speech with great interest and actively participated in the interview. During the seminar, the questions asked for discussion aroused great interest among students and increased the impact of the seminar.
