EXCURSION TO HISTORICAL MONUMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL GUESTS
On May 13, 2025, as part of the International Scientific-Practical Conference enitled “Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan: Cooperation for the sake of Peace, Safety and Sustainable Development” and II International Competition “International Relations: The Culture of Peaceful Dialogue” organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a cultural tour was arranged for the participants to visit the “Halk Hakydasy” memorial complex and the “Nisa” historical site, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
During the excursion the guests first visited the “Halk Hakydasy” Memorial Complex. There, they explored the “Watan Mukaddesligi” Museum and viewed remarkable exhibits and images depicting the heroism shown during the Great Patriotic War.
After visiting the Memorial Complex, the participants continued their tour to the ancient city of Nisa. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Nisa was once a major center of the Parthian Empire. The guests became acquainted with the archaeological research conducted at the site and learned about its valuable historical artifacts and significance.
This cultural program offered international participants a unique opportunity to become closely acquainted with the rich historical and cultural heritage of Turkmenistan.
