The Halk Maslahaty – the national principle of our ancestors
As it is known from history that the Turkmen people solve essential issues in consultation with respected people. Today, our Highly Esteemed President turned these long-standing traditions into one of the main principles of the socio-political structure of the Independent, Permanent Neutral state of Turkmenistan and develops it on the basis of modern requirements.
National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero Arkadag in his book Ömrümiň manysynyň dowamaty notes that the Halk Maslahaty was one of the directions for the implementation of democratic principles – the tradition of our ancestors to make decisions in consultation with elders, involving wise and educated people. Our development model is an effective way to solve the problems arising in the modern era of globalisation. National unity, the rule of law, the effectiveness of government institutions and governing bodies and the priority of public opinion are the defining features of the path chosen by the Motherland.
In the year “Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy”, the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty will be held on the 24th of September, 2024 in the city of Ashgabat, in the «Maslahat köşgi» Palace. The main aim of the meeting is to ensure broad participation of representatives of the people in solving important issues of state and public life, strengthening the unity and cohesion of society, as well as the further development of national democracy.
During the meeting, current issues of the socio – economic and political development of the country, as well as issues related to the implementation of long-term strategic development programs of Turkmenistan will be discussed.
To ensure a high level of organization of the meeting, a special organizing committee will be created, which includes representatives of various government bodies and public organizations.
According to our wonderful principles «State – for people!», «The Motherland is a Motherland only with the people! The state is a state only with the people!», the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty will encourage the successful implementation of an effective socio-economic policy of our country.
